DOCVELI
Privacy policy
This page explains data handling in the current local DocVeli app for iPhone, on this website and when contacting support.
Updated October 1, 2026 · App version 0.11.2
1. Documents on your device
Document titles, numbers, dates and other entered details, photos, PDFs and saved previous versions are held in DocVeli’s local storage on your iPhone. The current version has no DocVeli account or automatic synchronization with a developer-operated server. The developer does not receive access to these documents through the app.
2. Text recognition
Text recognition and document-field suggestions are processed on your device using Apple frameworks. Photos, PDFs and recognized text are not sent to a remote AI service. Review suggested information before saving it.
3. Permissions and access protection
Camera access is used for scanning, photo and file selection for importing, and notification permission for local reminders. You control permissions in iOS. Apple’s system verifies Face ID, Touch ID or the device passcode; DocVeli does not receive biometric data or your passcode.
App lock limits access to the interface but does not add separate encryption to the database or attachments. iOS device protection applies. Notifications may contain document titles; lock-screen previews are controlled in iOS.
4. Backups and sharing
You choose when to export a backup and where to save it. The archive includes document details and attachments, including history, and is encrypted using your password. The password is not sent to the developer and cannot be reset.
If you choose iCloud Drive or another provider in Files, that service stores the copy under its own policies. A separately shared photo or PDF is not protected by the backup password. System-level iPhone backups are governed by your iOS settings and Apple’s policies.
5. In-app analytics and advertising
The current app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs and does not send usage analytics to the developer. This describes DocVeli’s behavior; Apple’s system diagnostics are governed by your settings and Apple’s policies.
6. Contacting support
If you choose to email support@docveli.com, support receives your sender address, message and any materials you attach to handle your request. In-app feedback may include the app version; documents and recognition results are not attached automatically. Correspondence is processed by the support email provider. Contact the same address for requests concerning your correspondence, including deletion.
7. This website
This website has no accounts, document-upload forms, advertising trackers or first-party analytics. It does not use its own cookies or browser storage. Fonts are provided by your system and images are served from this website.
When hosted through Cloudflare, that provider processes technical request data, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Selecting an email link only opens your email app.
8. Deletion and your copies
Deleting a document in DocVeli removes its record and associated attachments, including history. Copies you previously exported, shared or saved with another provider remain there until you delete them separately. The developer cannot remotely delete documents from your iPhone.
9. Changes and contact
This description will be updated if data handling changes. The current revision date appears at the top of the page. Contact support@docveli.com with questions about DocVeli privacy.
